Milton, VT

Milton is a small town located in northern Chittenden County on the shores of Lake Champlain. It is a fifteen minute drive north of Burlington, Vermont’s largest city. Milton is the home of seven waterfalls, which provide a powerful source to sawmills and other manufacturing industries. The town has become increasingly more residential, but still maintains its pleasant atmosphere and friendly Vermont character. Recreation
The Milton Recreation Department provides quality programs for people of all ages and promotes healthy lifestyle choices through access and opportunity of affordable recreation activities. Spend a day at Bombardier Recreation Park, which provides walking trails, baseball and softball fields, a basketball court, and ice skating rink. You’ll also find an outdoor performance center and skate park among other amenities. Lake Arrowhead is located in north Milton and was formed in 1938 when the Lamoille River was dammed. It is five miles long and provides outdoor enthusiasts with canoeing, boating, swimming, and bird watching.

Things to Do
Sand Bar State Park is a 2000 foot sand beach that not only provides a scenic day for people wanting to lay out at the beach, but amenities like canoe and kayak rentals, food concession, play areas, and shaded or open picnic grounds with tables and grills. The state park gets its name from a natural sandbar between Grand Isle County and Milton. Arrowhead Golf Course is a 9-hole course great for beginning golfers and is affordable for the whole family to practice their swing. The Georgia Family and Fun Center is a fun place for entertainment for people of all ages during the warm months offering go karts, bumper boats, miniature golf, and an ice cream parlor.
